Highly Efficient Visible Light Photodegradation of Cr(VI) Using Electrospun MWCNTs-Fe3O4@PES Nanofibers

The development of highly efficient photocatalysis has been prepared by two different methods for the photodegradation Cr(VI) from an aqueous solution under visible light. electrospun polyethersulfone (PES)/iron oxide (Fe3O4) and multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) composite nanofibers have using electrospinning technique. materials were characterized SEM XRD analysis. result reveals successful fabrication nanofiber with uniformly smooth nanofibers. effect numerous parameters explored to investigate effects pH value, contact time, concentration Cr(VI), reusability. MWCNTs-Fe3O4@PES exhibited excellent at 2 in 80 min. are stable without significant reduction photocatalytic efficiency after five cycles. Therefore, due its easy separation reuse loss efficiency, membrane tremendous potential removal heavy metals solutions.
